Cid Reyes At Lolo Dad’s Brasserie

Lolo Dad’s Brasserie in cooperation with Ricco Renzo Galleries presents the 17th solo exhibition of artistic-critic Cid Reyes on Wednesday, July 28, 2010.

Reyes launches the latest installment in his continuing series titled “Radiance”. As the title suggests, color is stimulus for the investigation of the clarity of light. Spurred, too by the application of roughened texture, the painting are under the rubric of Abstract Expressionism, a mode of painting to Reyes has been consistently devoted.

As a critic, Reyes has been actively writing on the art for several decades. He is the author of coffee table book on 3 National Artists, Arturo Luz, J.Elizalde Navarro and Bencab, and is currently working on the life and art of another National Artist, Napoleon Abueva. He has received a Best in Art Criticism Award from the Art Association of the Philippines (AAP).
